Introduction and who we are

This Privacy Policy describes how ESPREAD SOLUTION LLP collects, uses, shares and protects personal data through espread.io (our marketing website) and app.espread.io (our customer application), together called the “Services”.

The two parts of the Services collect data differently. The marketing site is mainly for information and enquiries; the customer app is where you hold an account, run analyses, and place orders. This policy covers both and explains the differences where they matter.

We determine the purposes and means of processing personal data for the Services, subject to the applicable law and any role-specific exceptions. Our registered address is 26, Devnandan Mall, Opp Sanyash Ashram, Ashram Road, Ahmedabad - 380006. For privacy questions, email support@espread.io.

How and why we use your information

We use personal data to:

  • create and manage your account and keep it secure;
  • run the Backlink Gap analysis and related features;
  • deliver, coordinate, and report the placements you order;
  • take payments, issue invoices, and keep financial records;
  • respond to your enquiries and send service messages;
  • detect, prevent, and investigate abuse or misuse; and
  • meet our legal and regulatory obligations.

Where the EU or UK GDPR applies, our legal bases are contract (to provide your account and the orders you place), legitimate interests (to secure the Services and prevent abuse), legal obligation (to issue invoices and keep tax records), and consent (for any non-essential cookies or analytics).

Section 04How we operate

AI-assisted features and analysis

Some features use third-party AI and SEO-analysis services to understand publicly available websites, identify competitors and provide recommendations. Under the current Backlink Gap workflow, website domains and public page text may be sent to Google Gemini; domain information may also be processed by SEO data providers.

Our competitor-analysis workflow does not intentionally send account credentials, order files or article briefs to these AI tools. Other platform features and future integrations are reviewed separately. We do not use AI to make automated decisions that have legal or similarly significant effects on customers.

Section 05How we operate

How we share your information

We do not sell personal information or use it for cross-context behavioural advertising.

We use providers and authorised personnel for hosting, database and file storage, payment processing, account authentication, transactional email delivery, security, AI-assisted analysis and SEO data. Access is limited to the information needed to perform each role, under appropriate controls and processor arrangements.

PayPal processes payments and collects your payment details under its own policy, so we never see your card number. Google provides “Continue with Google” sign-in and the AI analysis described above.

To deliver a placement, relevant article content, target URLs, anchor text, publication instructions and necessary correspondence may be shared with third-party publishers, writers and outreach partners. Our workflow does not require disclosing the customer’s account name or email address to publishers or writers.

We may disclose personal data where required by law, to protect our rights or our users, or as part of a corporate transaction such as a merger or acquisition.

Section 06How we operate

Cookies and similar technologies

We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, secure the Services, remember your preferences, and understand how the marketing site is used.

  • Strictly necessary — on the customer app, a small number of first-party cookies keep you signed in and protect against cross-site request forgery. These are always active because the app cannot function without them.
  • Preferences — we remember choices such as your theme and, if you ask, your sign-in email.
  • Analytics and marketing-site cookies — We use basic GA4 analytics and do not collect any other cookie-related information. Therefore, we do not display a consent banner on our marketing site.

Google sign-in and PayPal payments may involve cookies or other technologies controlled by those providers. We obtain consent for non-essential cookies or tracking where applicable law requires it.

Section 07Protection and rights

Retention, security and international transfers

We retain your account, order, and campaign records for as long as your account remains active. If you close your account or request the deletion of your data, we will delete or anonymise it, except for information we are required to retain for tax, accounting, legal, or security purposes.

Section 08Protection and rights

Your privacy rights and choices

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your data, and to object to or restrict certain processing, withdraw consent, and complain to a data-protection regulator.

To make a request, email support@espread.io. We may need to verify your identity, and we will respond within the timeframes required by applicable law. Self-service export and account deletion are not available in the app today, so our team handles these requests.

You have the rights above, and you can complain to your local supervisory authority. The legal bases we rely on are described earlier in this policy.

India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and Digital Personal Data Protection Rules, 2025 have phased commencement provisions. Rights and obligations apply as their respective provisions become operative, and this policy does not suggest that every provision is already in force.

The current customer app sends service messages such as account, payment and order updates rather than marketing campaigns. Transactional messages needed to provide the app cannot generally be disabled individually. Follow-up on enquiries sent through espread.io and any marketing communications follow applicable consent requirements, and you can opt out of marketing at any time.

Section 09Protection and rights

Children’s privacy and changes

The Services are for business and professional use and are not intended for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the new version here with a revised “last updated” date and, where appropriate, let you know by email or in the app.
